Supporters planning to follow The Whites at Skewen on 24th August should please note that kick off has now been moved to 1pm. This will also allow you to drop in and cheer the charity rugby on at Mumbles as featured in news articles on this website. Come and start your pre-season at Skewen on 24th with Swansea RFC.
With the 2019-20 season fast approaching Swansea RFC are back in training today, the first session commencing this evening at Llandarcy. But sessions have already been enabled for the past two weeks thanks to the excellent gym facilities at St Helen’s. This has allowed the squad to hit the ground running for the first full Pre-season training session as they prepare for a restructured Indigo Group Premiership League.
Swansea’s first Pre-Season match will be on Saturday 24th August at Tennant Park at 13:00 as they take on Skewen RFC and we get the chance to say hello to Jon Vaughan and Rhodri Wells, two former all Whites, who are energising Skewen RFC with their coaching input.
The second match will be against old rivals Neath at The Gnoll on Thursday 29th August at 19:15. Make sure you get down and let the boys hear your support from the touchlines.
Swansea Supporters’ Club will be helping you get to away matches this forthcoming season with several away trips planned, following the ever popular run to Llandovery last season. The first supporters’ bus will be for the WRU Cup tie away to Pontypool on Saturday 14th September (kick-off: 2:30pm). Tickets for all Swansea RFC supporters’ buses have been pegged at just £10, which is tremendous value.
Two other away matches have been selected for trips including Carmarthen Quins (Saturday 26th October) and Bridgend Ravens (Saturday 21st December). We will update supporters on these selections as the season progresses and the fixtures are confirmed as remaining Saturday matches.
