  • Hugh Gustafson, “Both are experienced players in the Premiership, and are a formidable partnership on the pitch”

Pre-season training may not quite have started just yet, but we are ready to start bringing you the latest signings news ahead of the 2019/20 season, with a few exciting signings along the way!

Swansea RFC are pleased to kick start pre-season news with the re-signing announcement of props, Tom Sloane and Greg Cunniffe.

The duo made their physical presence felt in the front row last season and will continue to guide the scrummaging prowess of the All Whites going into the newly streamlined Premiership campaign.

In a season of milestones for twenty nine year old Tom Sloane, he helped secure the remarkable win against table toppers Merthyr RFC with his 10th try in the jersey, and signed off his sixth season in the Whites jersey reaching his 100th cap for the club, for which he will be presented with his Swansea cap after a home game in the new season.

Joining Swansea RFC last season following a lengthy tenure at Llandovery RFC, Greg Cunniffe has quickly made his mark within the squad and will return next season to continue his impressive work rate in the front row and passing on his experience to younger players within the squad.

Newly appointed head coach, Hugh Gustafson said, “It’s great to get these boys signed up ready for next season. Both are experienced players in the league and are a formidable partnership on the pitch. Greg’s scrummaging is renowned in the Welsh Premiership as one of the best, whilst Sloaney’s work rate and ball carrying has helped us in many victories this season.”
