Flyhalf James Davies make his return to Swansea RFC this season having taken time out last season to concentrate on his studies and returning from injury with the Cardiff University side. James was last with us for the 2017-18 season, making twenty appearances, scoring fifty-five points. Originally from Dunvant but playing his early rugby at Swansea Uplands, James was involved with the Ospreys at Under 16s and Under 18s and whist studying at Cardiff University has been playing for the uni side which has also included Varsity appearances.

On his return to Swansea RFC, Davies said, “It was a good season last time I was with The Whites set up and I’m looking forward to being back in the Swansea mix again this year. Hopefully as a team we can build on what was developed last season and push towards a top six finish.”

Winger Dylan Moss arrives at St Helen’s from the Ospreys with various club, regional and International playing experience. Originally from Buckinghamshire, Moss started his rugby at Beaconsfield Rugby Club and upon moving to Swansea to study at university, signed with Bridgend Ravens for two seasons. Dylan has featured in the Wales U18’s squad in 2016 and 2017 and was in the Wales 7s training squad, however had a difficult ankle injury last season requiring surgery.

Joining Swansea RFC, Dylan said, “I’m delighted to have signed with The Whites for the season ahead. The strong relationship I already have with Gus and many of the boys in the club has allowed me get stuck in from the start, and coming off the back of an ankle surgery which prevented me playing during a lot of last season, it’ll be nice to get back on the pitch with a good bunch of boys.”

Head coach Hugh Gustafson added, “Dylan has joined the club from the Ospreys having been unlucky last season with injury. Dylan is an exciting player with great vision, so we are looking forward to seeing him back out on the playing field with the Whites jersey on.

James has returned to The Whites following a year out with Cardiff Uni, but we’ve been watching him closely over the year and he’s put in some excellent performances for the uni side so it’s great to have him back at the club.”
