  • Griffiths completes a successful first season as an All White, whilst Claypole reaches his 100th cap
  • Hugh Gustafson, “It’s a pleasure to re-sign both wingers. It’s great to have Claypole with his vast Premiership experience on board, whilst Ryan has certainly shown his pace, power and abilities on the pitch”

Continuing with our series of re-signings announcements, Swansea RFC are pleased to announce that Andrew Claypole and Ryan Griffiths have committed as All Whites for another season.

A fellow Swansea RFC 100 cap player as of the end of last season, the club are pleased to say that Andrew Claypole has re-signed for his 8th season in the jersey and will continue adding to his impressive run of appearances for his local Premiership side. The ever-reliable winger with 41 tries in the Whites jersey, Claypole has become a firm favourite with our supporters who we are sure will be pleased to see that he will again feature in next season’s squad.

Ryan Griffiths completed a successful first season as an All White with 23 appearances and four tries, and has re-signed for the coming season to continue showing his pace and flair on the wing. Under the guidance of backs coach Nicky Roberts, who had previously coached Griffiths at Bridgend Ravens, Ryan has been able to continue adding to his array of rugby skills and firmly make his mark on the pitch during fixtures.

Head coach, Hugh Gustafson said, “It’s a pleasure to re-sign both wingers. Claypole received his 100th cap last season and is now committed for another year, and it’s great to have his experience on board within the squad. Ryan showed his pace and power last season, with his performances a try scoring efforts. Looking forward to seeing how Ryan uses the new season to continue his skills.”
