150th Anniversary – And We Need Your Help!

As supporters will all be aware, the 22/23 season will be the 150th anniversary of Swansea RFC, the famous ‘All-Whites’.

Founded in 1872 under association rules and converting permanently to the rugby code in 1874, Swansea Football Club as it was known and is still named on the club Pavilion at St Helen’s, has always been a leading club in Wales and an internationally renowned club everywhere rugby is played.

In 2022 we celebrate our 150th season as a club and are determined to make it a joyous one for everyone connected with Swansea RFC. Most of all we want supporters to come and ‘join the party’. It is and has always been, your club.

As with the club’s rugby centenary, a set of events are being organised and will all be announced in the coming weeks. One thing the club would like to do is to encourage supporters to tell us their favourite memories of watching Swansea play. These can be from any era that you fondly recall. If you have watched the All Whites or you have played for them, we would like to hear from you.

You can email us at [email protected], write to us at the club or drop in on Tuesdays and Fridays between 10am-2pm and leave us written memories of Swansea RFC. Let us know what the club has meant to you. Please title your piece as My Swansea RFC Memories so we can keep them all together and publish them in our 150th anniversary booklet. We will also be posting them on our new St Helen’s Archive website, which will go live next season.

You can give your name if you like as long as you don’t mind us reproducing it at the top of your piece. Get in touch with us and tell us YOUR Swansea RFC stories as we celebrate 150 years of the ‘ALL WHITES’. Look out for further announcements here and on social media.

JOIN THE PARTY!
