25/26 Signings – Part 1

Having confirmed our new interim home at Dunvant RFC, we are delighted to also confirm the first set of new faces that will be joining us this season. Read through our breakdown and find out more on the players joining us this season:

Ethan Fackrell – Back row

Ethan joins us from RGC, having spent 2 hugely successful seasons up north. He previously played for Cardiff academy, alongside fly half Josh. He also joins cousin Ellis in the squad. He is one of the SRC’s most exciting young talents, and is consistently named as man of the match and in SRC teams of the week. He adds huge strength into our back row options, and we can’t wait to see him in action this season.

Liam Lloyd – Wing

Liam joins from the inaugural SRC champions, Newport. He made 8 appearances last season. He is regarded as an extremely fast and keen player. Liam also has a wealth of Premiership experience, having made appearances for Merthyr and Pontypridd. He primarily plays on the wing, but also covers all back three. He also joins his brother, Logan!

Logan Lloyd – Hooker

As previously mentioned, Logan joins his brother Liam in the squad this year (they also happen to be the brothers of Ospreys hooker Lewis!). Logan joins from the Ospreys academy and has already made a name for himself both in the Ospreys set up and Wales U18s.

Ellis Lewis – Scrum half

Ellis is one of the most exciting young talents to join us this year. He has recently returned from the Wales U20s set up at the World Championships in Italy. He was the only player featured in the squad not linked to a professional team, showing his raw talent and ambition. He joins from Neath RFC, after a hugely successful breakout season.

Cai Arnold – Second row

Like Ellis, Cai also joins after a hugely successful season at Neath, featuring in the vast majority of games throughout last season. He now makes the step up to the SRC for this season. He is a hugely powerful second row and is versatile in both the 4 and 5 shirt. He was also a part of the Championship winning team at Trebanos in 2022.

Tom Furtado-Mills – Prop

Tom is a Swansea University stalwart, and holds the record for most appearances as a BUCS player for Swansea. He was also named as a player to watch last season by BUCS pundit and ex Swansea player Max Nagy. He most recently featured for Sale Sharks at Premiership level. He is consistently named in BUCS teams of the week, and is an extremely powerful prop in the front row. He primarily plays at loosehead, but also covers tighthead. He has already made a handful of All Whites appearances, and will now join full time.

Taine Morgan – Back row

Taine joins us from Aberavon, having featured at Carmarthen Quins and Plymouth Albion Rugby Club. He made his debut last season on a short permit, having played against Aberavon in our first win of the season. He has also made a number of appearances for Neath. He adds his height and strength to the back row, but also covers the second row. We are delighted to have Taine with us full time.
