Teddy Bishop played in the Llandovery College v Christ College Brecon match in 1882/83.
Teddy made 1 appearance as a back for Wales versus Scotland 1889.
He made his debut for Swansea in 1884 against Cardiff. Teddy was part of the Swansea team which won the South Wales Challenge Cup for the second time in 1887. Known in the rugby world for his famous "corkscrew runs", Bishop was a skilled three quarter though rather unfortunate with injuries. Like David Gwynn, his contemporary in the 'All Whites', Bishop was adept at drop goals and nearly scored one against the touring Maoris for Swansea in December 1888. He played in this match despite injured ribs due to so many of the Swansea star players being absent.
