Thomas Deacon, born in 1868 and a carpenter by trade, he was employed by Swansea Corporation as a building inspector. played as a forward for Wales on 4 occasions between 1891 and 1892. He played against England in 1891 and 1892 and against both Scotland and Ireland in 189.2 He made his Swansea debut in 1890 and played in the game versus Blackheath in 1891 for the unofficial Anglo-Welsh championship.

He was secretary of the United Baptists National Benefit Society and on 21st july 1921 died in Morriston as a result of injuries received in a motor car accident.
