James Hook and Alex Lawson Join Coaching Team

We are delighted to confirm our coaching set-up for the 22/23 season, with the addition of former Wales and Lions international James Hook and current Ospreys coach Alex Lawson.

 

Hugh Gustafson (winner of the BUCS supporters coach of the year for Swansea University) continues as Head/Forwards coach.

Kevin James continues as Backs coach, accompanied by Ospreys and Wales icon James Hook.

Ben Lewis (former All White and Osprey) continues as Defence coach.

Alex Lawson joins the team as Strength and Conditioning coach. Alex is no stranger to St Helen’s having played over 50 games from 1998-2006, and brings a vast amount of experience and knowledge to the coaching team.

Chris Thomas (former All White) also continues as Strength and Conditioning coach.

Chris Morgans (former Wales 7s and vast Premiership experience) as Skills Player/Coach. Chris will be helping the players with individual skills whilst carrying on pushing our younger players for places in the match-day squad.

Sophie Cooke and Emily Forrest continue in their roles as our physios and sports therapists and will strive to get the injured boys back on the pitch and providing great support on match day.

Finally, JP Bevan will also continue in his role as Team Manager.
