Nathan Trowbridge set to wear the Whites jersey

·         Leading all time try scorer at Cross Keys and honours including Wales U16 & U19, and Wales A Rugby League

Swansea RFC are delighted to announce the signing of highly experienced centre/full back Nathan Trowbridge.

Trowbridge arrives at St Helen’s following ten season at Cross Keys RFC where he amounted and impressive 213 appearances and is the leading all time try scorer with 76 tries. His time at Cross Keys has also included being in the 2012 Swalec Cup winning side, and the British & Irish Cup final vs Munster.

Prior to Cross Keys, Nathan has played for UWIC, Bridgend Ravens and Maesteg as well as Forces Exiles and Scorpions on the 7s circuit. His Wales honors include age grade rugby at Under 16 and Under 19s, and the Wales Dragonhearts A team in rugby league. Nathan has also had the opportunity to play with the Ospreys U20’s, Celtic Warriors Under 19’s and the Welsh Crawshays.

On making his move to The Whites, Nathan said, “Playing for Swansea RF aa an attractive opportunity for me, and one I felt I would enjoy. The club is steeped in history, has excellent facilities & coaches, and a good group of boys.

I felt that it was the right time for me to make a change and take on a new challenge with such an historic club. I have been at one club for the last decade, so this is a big step for me personally, but I am excited and really looking forward to the season ahead in new surroundings and new team mates. I hope I can play a small part in helping Swansea to reach its potential this season and am looking forward to the fixtures getting underway.”

Director of Rugby, Richard Lancaster commented, “Nathan is a class act and a proven Premiership try sorer who’s been a consistent threat for many years in the league. His experience will be critical for us this season and his ability to play wing, full back or even centre means he’s of massive value to the squad.”
