As supporters may have seen, Swansea RFC have been working on club refurbishment and facility improvements over the past two seasons, which began with the modernisation of the main bar area during the off season last year, and the team gym before Christmas. The club can now announce that further facility improvements have been made over the past few months following a WRU facility grant and club investment, focusing on four main areas of the club.
Out on the pitch, the club has funded refurbishment of the floodlights which will be a two-stage process – the first phase is now complete and the second phase is due to be completed next season.
The club have also further invested in a new team room allowing provision of a private area for the management team to conduct match analysis, planning sessions and individual meetings with players, enabling further support in improving both individual and team performances.
Following a successful WRU Facilities Grant application, the club has renovated the office area in to a brand new physio room, providing high standard medical facilities to meet the increasing physical demand of the semi-professional game. The new physio facility, located opposite the team changing rooms, is allowing for a closer provision of match day physio requirements, and a vibrant area for the medical team to conduct and support the rehabilitation process of injured squad members.
Finally, kitchen appliances and catering provisions have been replaced and improved, and the club now holds a level 5 food hygiene rating
