Memorabilia theft from St Helens

By Phil Llewellyn (Swansea RFC Chairman) | 29/05/2013

Swansea RFC regrets to announce the recent theft of some memorabilia items from the Clubhouse.

The items were forcibly removed from a display cabinet in the President's Suite at the beginning of May. The police have been informed and inverstigations are ongoing. They are treating it as a serious incident and all possible measures are being taken to recover the items and apprehend those responsible.

Swansea Rugby Club would like to appeal to anyone who may have any information relating to the crime to contact the police or alternatively to contact the club directly on 01792 424242 or by sending us an email  or writing to us at:

The items in question are four jerseys belonging to the club's memorabilia collection. Each is very distinctive and easily recognised. Should anyone discover any information suggesting the whereabouts of these jerseys, it would be of great assistance to the club who are helping the police pursue all lines of enquiry to recover the lost items. They are an integral part of this great club's history and part of our and the City of Swansea's heritage. It is hoped that their return will allow them to be placed in a secure display to be enjoyed by all sports enthusiasts of whatever affiliation.

In the meantime, all memorabilia items from the President's Suite have now been removed to a secure location and electronic surveillance measures installed.

Your help in recovering the items pictured below will be greatly appreciated by Swansea Rugby Club who maintain the collection for the enjoyment of all.

Thank you.
