John Isaac Passes on

By Terry Morgan | 08/11/2011

It is with sadness that we mark the passing of former “All Whites” hooker John Isaac who passed away this month. John was one of the best hookers in the game and unfortunate not to have had international recognition. He played 98 games for Swansea between 1961-62 and 1964-65 and scored 13 tries in that time. He played in the club’s 1963 match against New Zealand, a hard game, eventually lost 9 – 16. John’s son Lloyd played for Swansea RFC in the late ‘eighties as did his Son in Law Robyn McBryde in the early ‘nineties. Our sympathies and thoughts are with John’s family.
